Then you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the capital of Ukraine by tour on the bus. Modern Kyiv is the largest cultural, scientific, industrial and sports centre of Eastern Europe. The population of the city is 2.65 million and the area is 820 sq. kms. It stretches 42 kms from north to south along the picturesque banks of the Dnieper and 35 kms from east to west. The river divides and unifies the city creating a number of channels within Kyiv and shapes landscapes of staggering beauty, which can be observed enchantingly for hours from tie high right bank.

One of the unique features of Kyiv is that in a city of three million people you can easy seclude yourself within nature - either in one of the numerous parks or gardens which are spread throughout the city, or near lakes or forest parks surrounding Kyiv. Thus Kyiv is called a garden city, a city where it is possible to easily combine business life with relaxation. The city spreads its embrace to tourists and businessmen in all seasons. Especially, in autumn, when numerous parks are covered in gold and crimson, and yellow and red leaves rustle delightfully underfoot. You will be able to see and visit St. Sophia cathedral, St. Michael cathedral, Golden Gates, Andriivskyi Uzviz with a souvenir market and St. Andrew church, Maidan Nezalezhnosti with "Globe" Trade & Entertainment Center, the main street of Kyiv - Khreschatyk, Grushevskogo street, where Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) and Cabinet of Ministers are situated, as well to see a lot of other interesting places.

The participants can visit The National Philharmonic of Ukraine that was founded in 1863 at will. Alongside with its active concert activity aiming broad propaganda of domestic and foreign art, classical heritage, reviving Ukrainian national culture, constantly conducts international contests and festivals (Contest of young pianists of Vladimir Krainev, Contest in memory of Vladimir Horowitz and others). The Hall of Columns of the Philharmonic can boast of a rich and wonderful history. The best guest performers of a world level considered it an honour to appear on this stage. The world music stars gave their concerts here: I.Arkhipova, L.Bernstain, E.Gilels, O.Glazunov, K.Zanderling, V.Clibern, L.Kogan, K.Kondrashin, F.Liszt, S.Lemeshev, K.Mazur, G.Neigauz, D.Oistrakh, Yu. Ormandi, S.Rachmaninov, S.Richter, P.Robson, G.Rozhdestvenskii, M.Rostropovich, A.Rubinshtein, T.Ruffo, l.Sobinov, O.Skriabin, V.Ferrero, A.Khachaturyan, C.Zecchi, F.Shaliapin. Beside them, names of outstanding figures of Ukraine shine brightly: Z.Gayday, R.Glier, K.Dankevych, M.Lysenko, S.Lyudkevych, B.Lyatoshynsky, G.Mayboroda, I.Patorzhynsky, N.Rakhlin, M.Rylsky, K.Semionov, S.Turchak, I.Shamo, A.Shtogarenko. Incomparable Lysenko String Quartet and the world-famous Kiev Chamber Orchestra were born here. Performing in this concert hall were the Veryovka Ukrainian Folk Choir, the Bandura Players Chorus of Ukraine.
 
Visit to the National Opera and Ballet Theatre

You will have the chance to visit The National Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko. It is a monumental building and a glorified creative collective known in the whole world. It was built in 1901 in the French Renaissance style with a capacity of 1628 seats. Many famous touring and Kyiv artists performed on its stage, such as Leonid Sobinov, Fyodor Chaliapin, Mattia Battistini, and Anatoly Solovianenko.

At the evening you will be able to see the city shining in lights, and visit a lot of interesting places. Especially, the main street of Kyiv – Khreschatyk. Khreshchatyk is not only the central street of Kyiv, but the most famous and best people-watching street. From its northern end of European Square to Bessarabs’ka Square and its southern terminus, it is not even 2 km long.
Khreshchatyk’s beautiful architecture and wide chestnut-lined sidewalks make it a lovely place for a relaxing stroll. On weekends and holidays the street becomes a pedestrian area where one can see lots of street performers. Khreshchatyk is the tourists’ favourite place for shopping, hunting for souvenirs and taking pictures.
 
Visit to the open-air Museum of Ukrainian Folk Architecture, Rural Life and Folk Art – Pirogovo

To the southwest of Kiev, in the picturesque setting of Pirogovo village there is an open-air Museum of Ukrainian Folk Architecture, Rural Life and Folk Art, stretching on the vast territory of 150 hectares. In this village-museum the unique collection of folk architecture from all regions of Ukraine has been gathered.
The visitors can admire rare exhibits and visit folk crafts shops and traditional restaurants of Ukrainian cuisine. In autumn the museum hosts special craft festivals. During these days the blacksmiths, potters, coppers, weavers, carpet makers and other craftsmen of the present demonstrate how the masters of the past created their masterpieces of applied art.

All the participants will be able to visit one move street of Kyiv. Andriivsky Uzviz is one of the most picteresque street in Kyiv. Amazing landscape, inimitable St. Andrew church, peculiar "Castle of Richard - a Lion's Heart", Bulgakov's relics and come alive sale souvenir and work of art. Today scenic Andriivsky Uzviz for its tempestuous artistic life possible to compare to Monmarte in Paris. It is difficult to find any other street in the world which can be compared with Andriivsky Uzviz in its picturesque beauty. It was most probably because of this that it was always so beloved by artists. Many well-known artists, sculptors and writers lived here. The most famous of them was Mikhail Bulgakov. The little house at No.13 Andriivsky Uzviz is called the "House of Bulgakov". He live in this house from 1906 to 1916 and from 1918 to 1919. And precisely in this house he set the heroes of his novel "The White Guards" and the play "The Days of the Turbiny Family". Now, a museum is located there and you will have the opportunity to see all this beauty.

Sophiys’ka Square was the main square of Kyiv in the time of Prince Yaroslav the Wise. According to the annals in 1036 Yaroslav at this very site defeated the nomads – the Pechenigs, who disturbed Kyiv with their raids. Next year the erection of a temple in the place of the battle in the place of the battle was started.
Today the entire Cathedral complex with its precinct and premises are the national preserve, historical and cultural monument of international significance. In 1990 St.Sophia’s Cathedral was put into the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" is one of the oldest and biggest technical universities in Europe and the world. The main building of the NTUU “KPI” is Alma-Mater for 200 000 graduates for the period of 105 years of its existence. Besides, you will have the opportunity to see the tower that is the fundamental architectural part of the main building of the University. All the participants will be able to visit the State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine at NTUU “KPI” is one of the oldest buildings of the University, expositions of this museum present the history of engineering development in Ukraine. The museum is located at the most picturesque university street – the museum alley where there are the monuments to the well-known scientists, such as Korolyov, Sikorskyi, Paton, Mendeleyev and others.
